If you really want to get technical, computers were made before consoles and one of the first programs made for the first computers were games. So, yes, computers started games. Not consoles.
There's mainly two groups going after them. The console people that can't understand why it doesn't look as good as on the PC and the people that played BF2 are expecting certain aspects to be in the new game such as the commander, bigger squads, etc. Some points are trivial but some are valid. Seriously, there isn't that much that's different between this and BC2. That's what some are complaining about.
Yes, there is NO commander. This is BC3 IMO. I don't really care about there only being 4 classes but no commander, only 4 to a squad, and no commo rose is stupid.

While I don't agree with all the complaints he posted, some are legit. Like no commander and squad size limit. The commander made BF games different from all the other FPS's, was very important, and fun to play. Having a larger squad and better communication options than what was present in BC2 is also pretty darn important if you've ever played any of the older BF games.

I predict we'll see Source Engine 2 when HL3 comes out. When that comes out is anyone's guess though.
I'm mainly referring to the abilities of DX11 cards. DX10 cards can't do certain aspects that DX11 cards can. Developers are using those aspects in new games and it's making a BIG difference in the visuals and performance.
If Nintendo wants this console to be visually relevant for more than a few years, they need to make sure it can do the new "bells and whistle" effects found in DX11 cards.
The one thing I think Nintendo should do is at least make sure the card is DirectX 11 compatible. DX10 was a joke. Developers, however, are finding that DX11 is much, much better. There are some specs in DX11 that developers are going to want for next gen software.

If MS made and supported something like this, they'd bring in a lot of PC players and steal a ton of people from Sony. Too many people don't realize how inaccurate a regular controller is.
If EA wants to end this complaining, just make it so if you preorder the game, you get the map pack and the gun pack. End of story. Don't make it retailer exclusive and don't split them up. Have everything available everywhere for all those who pre-order the game.

A great way to extend the life of the game. I had stopped playing it about a year ago but because of this, I've started playing it again and found all kinds of new things. It's reminded me just how fun and balanced everything is in this game.
